Rajasthan known as the royal state of India is situated in the northern part of India and covers almost 342,239 square kilometres or 10.4 percent of the total geographical area of India. Its area makes it the largest state of India and is numbered as seventh regarding the population. It is located in the northwestern part of Indian subcontinent. 

It is bounded by the states of Punjab and haryana,  Uttar Pradesh and Madhya pradesh. And the state joint capital of Rajasthan is Jaipur also known as the pink city.  Rajasthan is generally known as the land of kingdoms as before was known as rajputanas as it was a kingdom for many Rajputs. RIt came into existence in its present form on November 1, 1956. A large number of population comprises of Rajputs meaning the son of kings. It is mostly covered with sand and desert and comprises of the largest desert called The Thar Desert, also known as Rajasthan Desert or Great Indian Desert.

Rajasthan culture is a shadow of royality and  its splendid history. If we talk about the culture of Rajasthan then we can not surely miss out on the dances, music and its delicious cuisines. Most of all, it is known for its folk aculture originated from village areas in Rajasthan, and this is what attracts the tourist the most from all around the world. Not only desert, but has some well known sanctuary and wildlife parks helping in preserving Flora and Fauna. The type of the culture being followed in Rajasthan  indicates the ancient lifestyle of people in India.

The mesmerizing music, the graceful Indian folk dances, beautiful attires and jewellery are some attractions for spectators visiting Rajasthan. Its culture indicates more of a colorful unique history of the state.

Rajasthani cuisin is a mixture of varities of flavors which makes it different from others. The different cuisins of Rajasthan makes it a prominent state of India. The dishes are  rich vibrant and colorful just like its own culture and heritage.

1. DAL BATI CHURMA

Dal Bati  hurma is the most famous dish of Rajasthan, anyone who visits there should definitly try the crunchy Bati rolled in ghee and spicy Dal with sweet  Churma. Dal Bati Churma is the must try dish for all.

2. MIRCHI BADA

In Rajasthan evening tea or coffee is incomplete without this spicy snack called Mirchi Bada. Its served with mint and imly chutney. And is a perfect  breakfast for ones who loves to eat spicy food!!!

3. KALAKAND

The royal state of Rajasthan is also well known for its astonishing Mawa dessert called KALAKAND. The meal of rajasthani’s is incomplete without this Mewa dish, Kalakand.

4. PYAAZ KI KACHORI

Another mid day or breakfast snack which is very famous and is liked by all is PYAAZ KI KACHORI. It is stuffed with onions and spices and is served with green and red chutney.

5. GHEWAR

The most delightful dessert enjoyed by almost every dessert lover is GHEWAR. It is a crunchy and is delicious in taste. It is available  is various hapes and sizes in the market.

6. MOONG DAL HALWA

Moong dal halwa is the winter dessert for all the Rajasthanis. It is prepared from moong dal and is garnished with variety of dry fruits like cashew,  almond etc.

Malpua is a special desert popular in Rajasthan. It is a sweet fluppy yet little crispy pancake covered with sugar syrup.
